sorry, please disregard my last request I figured it out. Thanks.
Thanks for all your help I solved my issue by updating the theme to the latest version. Hopefully one last thing please, I have several css styling issues that I have been fixing since the update. I have most of them resolved except for two areas that seem to be influenced by this css file http://nwsigns.com/wp-content/themes/swagger/assets/css/theme.min.css?ver=2.0.0 Adding custom css does not seem to override these styles. All I want to do is change the color of the header text on this sample page http://nwsigns.com/sitemap/ and the button color but I cannot figure out how. Is this a twitter bootstrap issue?
Thanks for the advice on this issue. I will try the update and see if this will solve my problem. How do I go about finding the 2+ update? I looked in my Theme Forest account. I can’t seem to find a download.
Everything is good. Thanks.
Thanks I’ll look at that Video section. Yes, I created a custom widget for my own sidebar information then applied that widget using “Widget Area Assignments” to all the pages, posts & categories. I guess I could have just used the default right sidebar to accomplish the same thing. http://test.nwsigns.com/
I found the solution in Appearance > Widget Areas. Thank you.February 15, 2013 at 1:37 am in reply to: Error with child theme: The themes directory is either empty or doesn’t exist. #4114
Thank you, somehow I must have altered the style.css file instead of the custom.css file through the Theme Editor. The style.css “template” parameter was not there. I added it and now the error message is gone and I can continue with my customizations. Sorry for the mistake on my part.
FYI, the slider xml file uploads fine at only 40kb so I think you’re right about the server environment timing out. My hosting company is not giving me the best advise I think. Thanks.
I did not get the standard success message. All I get is “Failed to create new user for admin. Their posts will be attributed to the current user.” it seems there should be two more lines but there isn’t. My hosting company does not see an issue uploading a 1.1mb xml file. I’ve installed other themes and xml files on this same dedicated server without issue before. Any other idea? Thanks.
lol. Shoot I don’t remember. I know when I try to import the xml file again a list of items that have already been installed is displayed. The css and images assets look to be on the server.
I would expect there to be page layouts and sliders that are the same as the demo site you already built.
Hi yes I did the import through tools > import and received no error messages that’s what perplexing. There are just no theme pages, sliders, posts, comments etc. showing up. in the admin area. Same applies to the Widget import. I’ll try a fresh install and see if something changes. Thanks.
