Hi Just wondering what the best way is to get a yelp social media icon onto the theme, in the same area as the other icons.

    Thanks

    Hello,

This will only be possible through your own customizations, unfortunately. There’s no feature for adding a custom icon.

    1) The list of icons offered is filterable. So, you could add your own there, and then on the frontend, you’d use CSS to style the icon image into it. See /framework/includes/general.php, the function themeblvd_get_social_media_sources().

    2) Also, another option would be to hide that whole section hooked to “themeblvd_header_addon” action and then hook in your own content there from your child theme’s functions.php, which contained your own set of HTML showing icons you’ve setup.

See the default hooked function alyeska_header_addon(), in /includes/theme-functions.php of the theme.

Ok thanks for the information. Just in-case others are looking at this. I resolved it by using a social media plug-in in another location. It was much quicker for me to do it this way.

If I have time I may just replace the hook you mentioned with the one that displays the plug-in.

    Thanks
