Twitter Widget and Emails

    We’ve experienced some errors when someone tweets an email address (unfortunately I do not have a live example of this at the moment). I suspect this is to do with the @ character, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this or had a fix for it.

    Thank you.

    I apologize for the inconvenience. This is an issue with the updated SimplePie class in WordPress 3.5. I’ve got this fixed in the next theme update, but this is update is still not ready, as it’s a fairly large one. Here’s a fix you can apply from your Child theme’s functions.php.

    function my_tweet_filter( $text ){
    	return htmlspecialchars_decode( $text, ENT_QUOTES );
    add_filter( 'themeblvd_tweet_filter', 'my_tweet_filter', 9 );

    Note: If you’re not using a Child theme, you can also put this in the functions.php of the main theme.
