FYI – I reverted chrome and verified that the issue was fixed…

so looks like just this specific update will cause this issue. there is supposed to be an update monday sometime to fix this.

in case you get any other reports.

just a follow up:

Chrome – Version 44.0.2403.125 (64-bit)

works as expected, the update resolved the issue.
