    hi jason,

    short question:

    i’m usinng your tb image sizes plugin and size for small thumbnails is set to 250 x 250 pixel and soft crop.

    in wordpress media the image soze for middle sized images is set to 500 x 500 px.

    so is it possible to change the shortcode for featured images of blog pages (primary posts display & single posts) in this way, that css will define max image size of 250 x Y or Y x 250 px and image source will use larger wordpress created image of 500 x Y or Y x 500 px?
    … so image size will be higer, but image quality will be also much better?

    looking forward to hear from you.

    br,

    Hi,

    What I would do is under the Images Sizes plugin, change the “Small Thumbnails” size to that 500×500 size you want, because this is the actual dimensions of the physical image. Then, in your blog, you can style with CSS the image to display at the 250 width.

    .post_list .featured-image-wrapper img {
    	max-width: 250px;
    }

    Remember to regenerate your thumbnails after changing any dimensions.

    hi jason,

    do you have a similar trick for slider 3d carrousel & standard?

    With the standard slider, you can just use whatever image size you want when editing a slide, or change the slider-large size dimensions with Theme Blvd Image Sizes plugin (if that’s the crop size you’re using). Whatever the size of the native image, it is already set to scale and fit in where ever it is.

    For the carousel, it uses that “grid_4” size — so make that whatever you want from the image sizes plugin. Then, you’ll need to style with CSS the list <li> items to be the width you want, in order to make them smaller than the actual image size.
