Setting for YouTube lightbox videos to not play automatically

Is there a setting in Commodore that allows me to not have youtube videos autoplay? If so, where is it? If not and there is code that can inserted, that may help too. I’ve tried to include autoplay=”0″ in code and tried appending the YouTube url with ?rel=0&autoplay=0… neither seemed to work.

    Suggestions welcome.

    Thank you

    steve

    Hi Steve,

How are you displaying the video in the lightbox? Can you link me to a specific example on your site?

Note, that while you’re not able to pass custom parameters through with the video URL, the lightbox we integrate (Magnific Popup) should be auto-playing the YouTube videos when opened, by default.

For example, see a basic example of the theme linking a featured image to a YouTube video:

    http://demoblvd.com/themes/commodore/2011/10/02/youtube-video/

… You can see in this example, that the video auto-plays when opened. Or am I misunderstanding what you’re asking?

Thanks for the prompt reply Jason

The video does autoplay. I want to set it to not play. The reason is that YouTube does not count the play and subsequently limits the ability to analyze views. I want to set the video to not play automatically.

Here’s a page on my site with my latest video (hope you enjoy the message too)

And here is the text code behind the page…

    A few weeks back, I’m heading to a meeting and I see this woman <span style=”color: #ff6600;”>stop dead</span> in her <span style=”color: #ff6600;”>tracks</span>… and she bends over to <span style=”color: #ff6600;”>smell a flower</span>. Wow.

    I got to thinking, “There’s a <span style=”color: #ff6600;”>lesson</span> here for <span style=”color: #ff6600;”>every workplace</span>” and if you don’t take it <span style=”color: #ff6600;”>seriously</span>, you’re going to lose your <span style=”color: #ff6600;”>best people</span> (1:40 min).

Any thoughts or advice are appreciated

    steve

Aw, ok I understand. Unfortunately, there’s no feature for this. You’d need to just embed the YouTube video into the page, as normal, and not use the lightbox.
