Search form?

Hi Jason,

After changing my home url, my search results are directing to the wordpress install directory. Within the akita framework is there a searchform.php file?

Would there be any problems by adding/editing a searchform.php file?

Oh, wow, you should update. We’ve made a lot of of big advancements since the original version. The issue you’re asking about with the search form URL has been fixed, as well. I remember that one specifically a few months ago for when people are setting up their site URL in a different location than where they actually have WordPress.

And sure, if you want to copy searchform.php to your Child theme, you can.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for getting me to upgrade. The search function is resolved!
One issue that I stumbled upon was that Issuu embed short codes were not working in builder layouts (issuu plugin is active). I bypassed this by creating a standard page layout rather than a builder page, but just wanted to give you a head’s up cause this wasn’t an issue with the 1.0 version.

In the update, we removed WordPress’s the_content filter from all of the raw content elements, which actually solved a lot of issues with other third-party plugins that are “doing it right” —

But unfortunately, your plugin is most likely not coding a true shortcode, which is honestly bad practice for a plugin. They’re probably using some sort filter on the_content to “fake” a shortcode.
