You did not read me message as usual out there. It does not have the update option my customer has.

You want people to buy your product but you do not know the product.

AS USUAL WITH EVERY OTHER THEME MAKER, I’LL FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF.

I’m sorry to hear you’re frustrated, but please maintain respect in the forums. I am always here to help, which many hundreds of customers here would vouch for. And yes I have read your message in its entirety and I know my product very, very well. I apologize if I have misunderstood your question, but it in fairness, it is extremely vague.

So, I understand this to mean you’re asking how to update the theme? And so I have linked you to the instructions on how to do this. If I thought this was going to break your layout, I would say so, but you gave me no indication of any reason why this would be the case.

There hasn’t been a significant update to Barely Corporate since February 2014, which was v4.1.0.

Since I would consider this to be more than “a few months ago” — Updating the theme from a version from a few months ago shouldn’t break any layout, and so this is why I linked you to the instructions, which tells you how to update both manually through FTP and through the in-dashboard update system.

Now, if you’re making heavy child theme customizations, you should obviously be testing these customizations against the latest version somewhere off your live site. This is nothing specific to the theme, but just a good practice.

It does not have the update option my customer has.

Can you try to explain this a bit more? I’m sorry but I’m just not understanding what you’re trying to tell me. Maybe you could also let me know specifically what version of Barely Corporate you’re updating from?
