    Hi

I was sitting with a user accessing our site and noticed that although they were on a desktop in full screen, the mobile version of the site was being shown. (much like this post: http://support.themeblvd.com/forums/topic/mobile-site-shown-on-desktop/)

How can we avoid this/ why is this happening? Do I have some settings I can adjust to avoid this?

Have not seen this happen before.

In the image from the other thread, you can see the user is zoomed into the site when they’re viewing it. Tell them to zoom out so they’re looking at the site in the proper proportions. On most modern browsers this is ctrl + 0, or cmd + 0 on a Mac.

Actually, I had her do that and it did not help. Any other suggestions?

I’d need to see a screenshot or something. All I can come up with is either they’re zoomed in, or obviously they’ve scaled the browser window down to a mobile-size viewport.

Ok then for the moment, as I don’t have access to that situation right now.

If I see this again, we will retry the refresh and then take a screenshot and send it.

Just thought there may be a setting I was missing.

    Thanks!

Our themes are “responsive” which means that we take the common, more modern, approach of targeting not specific devices, but specific viewports. So, in theory, whether the user is on MacBook or an iPad or a Samsung Galaxy is not the relevant factor — It’s all about how large the window is that the website is being viewed on. This means if you’re on your laptop and shrink the window down or zoom it all the way in, it’s going to look the same as on a smaller device.

Yes, I understand that, that is why this was confusing – it was full screen, maybe even above 100% of view…. would that cause this problem?
