Meta showing despite settings

    Hi
I am having trouble eliminating the meta from my post listings despite the setting the Theme Options/Content/Single/Show Meta at the top…. being set to Hide Meta Info.

All search results also show meta and I’d really like all of them to be hidden. Is there something I can look for here?

Also, I all of my Private posts show up in the search results… something I really do not want … is there anyway to avoid this?

    Thanks a ton!

    Hello,

In your theme options or post options, when you see that something says that it’s only applied to “Single Posts” it means it’s only applied to viewing the single post page by itself. So, this does not include when that post is displayed in any post list or archive.

For posts that appear in a post list:

Appearance > Theme Options > Content > Post Lists > Show meta info?

For posts that appear in archives and search results:

Appearance > Theme Options > Content > Archives > Show meta info?

Note: These options were added in Akita v1.1

Also, I all of my Private posts show up in the search results… something I really do not want … is there anyway to avoid this?

I honestly do not know the answer to this, but this wouldn’t be directly impacted by the theme. Maybe you can search for some kind search plugin for WordPress that gives you more kinds of options in determining search results.

On the meta: Thank you for that info, but all settings have been checked as “Hide meta info” even in the archives. Is there any other way that they could be showing?

On the search: I will look for the search results online as suggested.

Thanks as always for the help!

Aw, yes I recall now that this was something I had to fix for the next update that on archives/search results this option isn’t working properly.

For now, you can just hide it by putting this in the Custom CSS option on your Theme Options page.

    .entry-meta { display: none !important; }
