We are having a problem with menus. We have followed all the video instructions, and are not able to get a menu that is visible. When we have been in to the menu builder, we have selected the pages, and clicked on the name of the menu that we want to use. Then saved everything, gone to the site — nothing. Strangely, when we then go into the menu builder again, the menu that we had chosen is now un-selected.
I have tried this on two separate test sites, and simply cannot get a menu to show up.
Any ideas? I am sure it is something competely simple that is being overlooked — I just can’t see it.
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
Can I see a link to where you’ve installed the theme?
hi jason,
it is installed here: http://red.infomesta.net/~jazbbeau/beautyspace/wp-admin/
cheers

When you installed the theme, you uploaded the entire ZIP package from ThemeForest, opposed to the actual theme found inside called alyeska.zip.
So this is where your issue is coming from. When you save the Menus page, it’s looking for style.css in the root directory of the theme, but can’t find it. You’ll probably encounter other little odd things like this. So it’ll be best to reinstall the theme, but make sure it’s the alyeska.zip installable theme.
