    Hi I’m wanting to make the content area wider and need to make the right sidebar background a color instead of transparent. Is that possible?

    Hello,

    Unfortunately there are no features for either of these things and so they will be customizations you’ll need to make.

    I’m wanting to make the content area wider

    If you mean make the content wider, and thus sidebar more narrow, then this will help:

    http://dev.themeblvd.com/tutorial/sidebar-layouts/#widths

    If you mean making the entire container wider, this would just be a CSS customization you’d make.

    …and need to make the right sidebar background a color instead of transparent.

    This would be a CSS customization you’d need to make. — For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the edits either in your child theme‘s style.css or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

    Thanks. I couldn’t see the themes for the last part because I don’t have them, but I’m close. I have one issue let. I can’t get what seems like main-inner from extending beyond the rest of the box. Can you help with that? I’m also still not sure how to change the right sidebar from transparent to white. http://temp.clccdoc.org/

    Thanks for any help you can give.

    I can’t get what seems like main-inner from extending beyond the rest of the box.

    It’s from this in your Custom CSS option:

    .sidebar_right {
        background-color: white;
    }

    And this in your style.css:

    div#main.sidebar_right::after {
    	display:none;
    }

    I’m also still not sure how to change the right sidebar from transparent to white.

    I would simplify things and not try to mess with the outer structure. I’d just pick an inner DIV and then style that to wrap the widgets like this:

    .sidebar_right .right-sidebar .fixed-sidebar-inner {
      padding-top: 0;
    }
    .fixed-sidebar .widget-area {
      background: #fff;
      border-radius: 4px;
      padding: 25px;
    }
    .fixed-sidebar .header-shade {
      display: none;
    }
