Is it possible to use Google fonts in the menu?

    I checked the forum and didn’t see any threads on this. I’m using Google fonts for the body content but would like to also use it in the menu. Is there any way to do this?

    Hello Suzen,

    If this is a font you’ve already included via the theme options, then it’s a very simple CSS customization you can make.

    #main-menu .sf-menu li a {
    	font-family: "Your Google Font";
    	font-size: 11px;
    	text-transform: none;

    For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the edits either in your child theme‘s style.css or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

    Also, here’s a helpful tutorial on how to use Firebug – The only thing I’d suggest not doing is actually making edits to the theme’s CSS files, as it shows at the end of that video. However, the video serves as a good introduction to Firebug and how it can be used to find what CSS is effecting certain areas of your site without ever digging around in any files.

    Thanks Jason – that worked! Although I used single quote marks around the Google font name and that worked fine.
