    Hello Bruce,

This is just a standard XML export file from WordPress’s core import/export system. It can be imported in the normal way through Tools > Import of your WordPress admin. Keep in mind that WordPress’s default import/export system does not handle importing settings and widgets.

On a personal note, though, I would really recommend not starting your website by importing all of this sample content. I include it because so many people demand it, but I think it is not the best way to go about starting a site on an actual web host. This sample content is more useful as a learning tool within your own development environment.

If you’re trying to make a quick copy of the theme’s live demo and then go from there in editing a site on a live host, this is really not going to be easier for you the long run. The live demo has so much content that you’re never going to need. Your site is going to end up a cluttered mess if you’re working from that on the eventual live site.

Here’s how I would recommend getting started with the theme. –

First, locate your documentation file within your theme package and open it up in your web browser. Then, go to the Item Details page for this product on ThemeForest and look under “Homepage Setup”:

    http://themeforest.net/item/commodore-responsive-wordpress-theme/111713

Try to follow each one of these steps in creating the homepage like you see in the demo. If you get tripped on one of these steps, find the corresponding video tutorials in your documentation’s table of contents.

Once you’ve created a homepage like the demo, you will have essentially gone on a tour of the theme, and you’ll have a good understanding of how everything works.
