How Can I Add Item to Menu without Link

This is likely absurdly basic but I’m clueless.

I’m creating a website for a business. If it were a site for Themeblvd it’d be the equivalent of wanting a menu header for “THEMES” to show up, but not wanting to actually link to anything with it. Hovering over it would provide a sub-list of pages that could be visited (Alyeska, Akita, Arcadian….) Getting all those names to show up is no problem…but using the simple menu builder I’m forced to have a link that I don’t want. (I set up a THEMES page, though the client doesn’t actually want that.)

(Compounding the problem, I used tabs within that page to get around this. The tabs were then broken when I added Google Analytics.)

Anyway, thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hello,

How Can I Add Item to Menu without Link

Just create a menu item and add the class “no-click” to it. Checkout this video from your documentation file: https://vimeo.com/32559964

Compounding the problem, I used tabs within that page to get around this. The tabs were then broken when I added Google Analytics.

Yeah, I can’t really speak to why a Google Analytics would be filtering the content of your page and altering the way URL’s are displayed (which is what breaks the tabs), but the theme does have an analytics option that you can use to simply incorporate your google analytics tracking code. Appearance > Theme Options > Configuration > Analytics

I’m sure the plugin does some extra fancy stuff, but this will get your tracking in there your so can utilize all the features over at analytics.google.com.

Thanks for the quick response, Jason. Not worried about the tabs thing…that was just a workaround anyhow, and once I get the menu thing straightened out all will be well. Thanks for the help. Hopefully the next time I ask a question it’ll be at least a little more challenging!
