    Hello,

Could you please advise what I’ve done wrong with my homepage video? I was trying to get the same look as the video in the demo at this link http://www.imgdemo.com/homepage-1/home-basic/

However, the video is very large and text is not overlapping the video/play button is missing. How can I correct to make it look like the one in the demo? This link shows what mine currently looks like: http://www.imgdemo.com

    I appreciate your help!

Sorry, to clarify the issue…I cannot figure out how to get the image on there to replace the plain black behind the text and play button. I want to upload a photo to go behind like the demo page. Thanks again.

    Hello,

When setting up a custom layout, you have “elements” that are organized within “sections” — To edit the background of a section, you’d just edit the display options for that section.

Please watch this video from your documentation: https://vimeo.com/70256816

Thank you. Could you please let me know how to lighten the black tint that appears over the slider images throughout my site? It is a bit dark.

I assume you’re asking about the hero unit slider elements in your custom layouts? If so, this is done from within the options of each hero unit within the hero unit slider.

When editing the options for the individual hero unit, if you have the boxed checked below the image where it says, “Shade background with transparent color” — then you’ve got both a “Shade Color” and “Shade Opacity” option below it.

    Hello,

I’m still trying to get the little image to take up the whole area of the black background and for the video to play when the “play” image is clicked. I guess I’m not sure what I should be “checking” under the section display area to get the small image to take up the entire area.

I’ve watched the video several times and went into all of the section and element display options in the section that is supposed to contain the video and full background image. However, I’ve not found a solution to my issue. I don’t know if it is because I am using a pre-existing template or what. Would it be possible to tell me which specific element or section I need to work in and what box to check to get the little square image within the black section area to enlarge and take up the entire black area.

The video does not assist with this specific issue and is more of a generic overview of how to put together a template, but its not helping me to use the demo content layout and get my page to look like the demo did.

The area that I’m having trouble with is the “Take an inside look” section on this link http://www.imgdemo.com

I appreciate any direction you can provide.

Apologies, I assumed that if you saw where to pull up the display options, and once you saw them, it would be fairly self explanatory looking at the background options.

I’m still trying to get the little image to take up the whole area of the black background

And it looks like you were able to figure this out within the display options, since you posted this question? I can see your background image taking up the background of the section. Or maybe I’m misunderstanding what specifically you’re not understanding?

… and for the video to play when the “play” image is clicked

Again, the same thing I explained here applies to this, as well. Any time you put in a link to a YouTube video page, you need to use the correct link. It should always be formatted as: https://youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxx

Currently, you’re using the “share” link YouTube provides, which is NOT what you want to use:

    https://youtu.be/Qd0tkg4gPGc

Instead, you want to just copy the actual URL to the YouTube page in your web browser address bar, which is:

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=Qd0tkg4gPGc

Note: Also note that you’re currently hot-linking off the play button image file on our Amazon hosting. You may want to download the image and upload it to your own site, because it may not always be where it is.
