    Hi Jason,
I recently updated from the beta to the latest jumpstart (paid-woowee). I am using the post list template on my “blog” page. That page is set to be my posts page in the wp dashboeard. in theme options>content> the primary posts display is set to show full content. I’m getting the excerpt. see: http://74.54.189.98/~chris72/p/events-3/
Before updating to the new jstart I was getting full content. http://sig-dev2.com/parisidenver/?page_id=257
I tried reinstalling jstart parent with the same result.
    any thoughts?

    Hello,

In your Child theme, do you by chance have any template parts like content-list.php left over from the beta version of Jump Start?

And on a sidenote, for your “blog” page, if you’re giving it the Post List page template, you shouldn’t be setting it as your “posts” page in your WP > Settings. So, you should go back to that settings and just leave the “posts” page blank. When you do that, WordPress is taking that page and replacing it with the theme’s homepage file, generally index.php, which is not what you want.

Thank you Jason. Yes I was using a template from the beta version because I had made a change to the file. The content-list.php of course. That file was the problem. thx, m.

The difference is just that we’re now passing that global variable to the template part via the new function there opposed to literally having a global variable. So you just need to convert that global content variable to the function you see in the new version of content-list.php.
