    Hello,

Now when you say, “… and this theme will not take in the changes I make?” — Do you mean that you have looked at the documentation and something isn’t working as it should? Or do you mean you don’t know how to get started?

Have you looked at the Getting Started section of your documentation? This is a good video tutorial to start with from that section of your docs: https://vimeo.com/124567552

From there, we can start to dive into what specifically you don’t understand, and work it out. But your documentation is filled with helpful video tutorial and instruction. So I want to make sure you understand how to access that.

    Hi,

I’ve been watching your videos over the last week and they’re really really great. Helped me out a lot. Almost feel like pro…or maybe not – yet.

I have some trouble. As much as I love my new Denali Theme I would like to show my own logo instead in the header. I really can’t find it in the videos how to replace it. I tryed to delete “Denali” logo via Theme Options>Layout>Header>Logo and then upload my own, but nothing happens.

And I did also try a “theme Logo” plugin, and also firebug, and even thoug I see you probably tried to make it possible for someone like me to chance the logo via Appearance>Editor>Header because of the do_action it’s just not working for me. I get some error message and my whole homepage disappear. I changed the code back, so no worries about that.
For info I safed my logo from Photoshop as PNG if that is even relevant.

This all controlled from Appearance > Theme Options. There is no coding or plugins needed to put in your own logo.

Would you mind posting a link to your site the current way it’s setup? Then I give you a more detailed description of what to do. I have a guess of what you’re doing, but I don’t want to further confuse you by guessing wrong.

    Of course; http://monelle.dk/

Now that you are there, would you mind telling me how to put my profil picture in the “Columns” element (Which is a 3 columns) right below the “Hero Unit”. I’m sure you’ll see what I mean when you get there.
I want the whole picture (of me) in the first column, my logo in the second, and a discription in the third.

And also, when I visit my page from the phone its all very wrong. I think maybe there is an issue for me about pictures/logos. Do they need to have a certain size or something?

Thank you so much for all your help.

First off, I can see where you’ve tried to put in your logo at Appearance > Theme Options > Layout > Header. You’ve uploaded and inserted a .psd photoshop file. This will not display on the web. You need to insert a logo image that can display on a website, like a .png or .jpg.

I just downloaded your photoshop file and looked at it. In Photoshop, you’ll want to crop it, and then go to File > Save for Web…, and save it as a PNG-24 file so it maintains transparency. Then, that .png file is what you’ll upload and insert into the option.

Second, your homepage has the “Transparent Header” option selected. This is controlled from a second logo option at Appearance > Theme Options > Layout > Transparent Header. So, you need to also insert your logo here, as well.

I want the whole picture (of me) in the first column, my logo in the second, and a discription in the third.

Right now you’re trying to insert the image as a background image. A background image is only going to display as the background of the portion of the column that exists. In other words, your image isn’t going to fill (or force) visible space.

Instead, you want to actually insert an inline image. To do this, in your column, just insert the “Image” element.

And also, when I visit my page from the phone its all very wrong. I think maybe there is an issue for me about pictures/logos. Do they need to have a certain size or something?

Everything looks normal on mobile to me. The columns are stacking, as they’re supposed to. It mainly just looks odd to me because your profile picture is applied as a background image to two of the columns.
