Change Only Page Padding

  • Creator

    Hi Jason,

    I’d like to add a little extra padding to full width pages.
    I’ve been trying to figure this out but it also alters the padding on all posts too.
    Is it possible to do this without effecting posts?

    EDIT: Ok I figure it out using: .page{padding:50px;}
    Anyway to have this only take effect on full width pages?

    Figured it out and feel little silly at how easy it was, one step at a time.

    .full_width .page{padding:50px;}

    Hello Craig,

    Yup, there is a class added that represents the sidebar layout; it’s higher up on the markup tree on the #main div.

    .full_width .page { padding: ...; }
    .full_width .single-post { padding: ...; }

    Also, there a lot of helpful classes that WordPress attaches to the <body> tag that you can use to style anything on your site in different scenarios.
