Better mobile navigation

    Hi Jason,

First of all I would like to thank you for creating the best responsive themes I could find. Your whole package with layout builder and child theme support is absolutely amazing!

The only thing I am not 100% happy with is the mobile navigation. I believe it is very important for visitors to see content immediately and not having to scroll down through a menu first. I can see that you started doing a similar approach in the Jump Start theme and really like it.

My favorite examples of responsive menus are microsoft.com (Trust me, I can’t believe I am saying that myself) as well as sony.com. Both save space by displaying the search and menu buttons right next to the logo and only when you actually click them they expand below.

Jumpstart used to do it the same way I believe, but you seem to have changed the button below the website title for some reason.

My question is: What do I have to change to make that happen? Can I copy some CSS from Jumpstart’s demo website and if yes, which code should I look at to create the button and the animation?

PS: I think it is a mistake not to show any support answers to people who have not purchased a particular theme. Most of your themes are very similar modification wise and questions people ask for the Akita theme could be helpful for the Swagger theme for example. It would be much better to just check if a user has a license for theme blvd v2 theme and then just allow them to see all the answers for all the themes. I think it would save you time answering the same questions over and over too.

It was very helpful for me to be able to browse all comments on themeforrest and I was able to solve many things myself instead of bothering you for example.

    Greetings, Kim

    Hello Kim,

I truly apologize if you do not like the design of the mobile navigation, however this is the design of the theme you’ve purchased. To change this would be a customization you’d need to make to the theme and this unfortunately is not part of the free support that we offer.

In the future, when I update Swagger to the latest version of the framework, I am planning to look further into this and see how I can work an option into the theme that will allow for a main menu that toggles open and closed for mobile.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for your reply! I of course understand that this is the theme and menu I purchased and  of course I wasn’t expecting you to create a new menu for me. I was hoping for a few tips at what to look at and where to modify what to make it work the way I want.

I am also happy that you might implement this in the future and hope you will consider my ideas and opinions.

    Greetings, Kim
