Running Complexity-2 on a client’s site and wanted to know if we can expect a responsive version of Complexity soon. Or should I bite the bullet and upgrade the client to something like Alyeska?

Along those lines, if I upgraded the site to Alyeska, would I be able to preserve any of my customizations from Complexity-2 or am I looking at a completely fresh start?

    Hello,

Honestly, a re-do of Complexity on the newer framework isn’t going to happen for awhile. There’s so much more that needs to be done for us before that can get started. But it is definitely something we want to do in the future.

No, it’s a completely different system. In terms of the theme, you’d be starting fresh. But obviously all of your non-theme related things will remain — i.e. pages, posts, menus, etc.

Also, if you’re looking for a theme that looks more similar to what you have checkout Akita. If you put the menu into the “classic” setting, you’ll get more of a similar look to Complexity. Akita and Alyeska run on the same framework, and have essentially all of the same features outside of the aesthetic design and the options that accompany that design.
