    Is their a way to add custom background images? Before this theme I would use a Background Manager plugin but it doesn’t appear to work with Swagger. Nor do I see a background editor.

    No, I apologize, but this theme’s design not support WordPress built-in background control. The reason is because that is going to allow you to control a background attached to the body of the page. However, this theme’s design is made up of horizontal sections. No background on the body would show through.

    To add a background you’d have to make your own CSS customizations to the theme. However, the question you need to ask yourself is specifically where you want to display a custom background.

    For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the edits either in your child theme or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

    Here are the selectors of the various horizontal sections (assuming you’re using the default light color) —

    #top { background: …; }
    #featured { background: …; }
    #main { background: …; }
    #featured_below { background: …; }
    #bottom { background: …; }

    Also, here’s a helpful tutorial on how to use Firebug – The only thing I’d suggest not doing is actually making edits to the theme’s CSS files, as it shows at the end of that video. However, the video serves as a good introduction to Firebug and how it can be used to find what CSS is effecting certain areas of your site without ever digging around in any files.
