Author not showing up in meta

New install for site and the author is missing from the meta; it’s just blank, so it says “..by in”. I tried turning all plugins off, eliminating any custom child styles/functions. Any clue what the issue is? I tried changing the author. There are 3 users who could be authors, but this had no effect.

    Hi Larry,

That seems like a strange issue. Are you sure you’ve haven’t made any kind of customizations from a Child theme that might effect this? or to the main theme? Have you made any changes using the String Swap plugin? Any other plugins that could effect this?

I deleted the my child functions and css files and still a problem. Those were only customization in child theme. Initially the author was present in meta after install and some customizing. I added the 4-5 TB plugins that are recommended at install.

Then I added: TB Post Template Options, TB Image Sizes, and TB favicon… perhaps one of those created a conflict even after I disabled them?

That’s not an issue I’ve ever encounter with a buyer so far, and I can’t think of any of those plugins that could be effecting anything related. So, I don’t have any ideas off the top of my head. Can I see a link to the site? Maybe that’ll spark something if I can look at it a little deeper on the frontend of your site.

Was there a fix to this, I am having the same issue? It’s showing fine in the post list:

But not in the single post:

I have to think it’s something specific to your setup. Could you possibly send me a login to your WP admin so I can take a closer look?

If you’d like this, you can send the info at My Account > Submit private info. Let me know here when you’ve done that.

All right, thank you for your patience. I’ve fixed this on your site and will have it for fixed for everyone in the next update, version 2.1.2.
