    Hey there – Is there a quick way to turn off the comment bubble top right of each post in Alyeska? Or do I need to dig into code and delete it the bubble that way.

    What determines if this comment bubble shows or not is if you’ve set a given post to allow comments or not with the standard WordPress option.

    Click to enlarge

    You could also just hide them all throughout your site easily with CSS, as well.

    .comment-bubble { display: none; }

    For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the edits either in your child theme or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

    Also, here’s a helpful tutorial on how to use Firebug – The only thing I’d suggest not doing is actually making edits to the theme’s CSS files, as it shows at the end of that video. However, the video serves as a good introduction to Firebug and how it can be used to find what CSS is effecting certain areas of your site without ever digging around in any files.

    Yeah – I tried turning off comments but it didn’t work strangely. Maybe cache:) I will try again or add your code. Thanks so much for your prompt reply again. Cheers.

    Is there a way to change the color of the bubble? From the light blue shaded to a solid color?

    @ppovolni — This is a CSS Customization you’d need to make to the theme. You’d need write your own CSS that applies your own image as the background.

    .comment-bubble { ... }
