Adding Member Control

Hi Jason – I need to add membership levels to my site, so I can sell tiered access to content. I am investigating Wishlist Member, aMember Pro and Magic Members. Do you have any experience with any of these or similar packages and your themes? Any words or advice or warning or compatibility issues? Thank you. Dave

Hello Dave,

I’ve honestly never have used any of these plugins. If your membership website is not going to be all that complex, this is a really good one I’d suggest taking a look at: http://codecanyon.net/item/restrict-content-pro-premium-content-plugin/1256753 — The developer is a friend of mine. He runs a WordPress plugin site and is very “generous” on the support side of things in helping you with the plugin, and he’s also very familiar with my theme framework, as we collaborate a lot together.

Thank you, I will check it out. We are going to offer a subscription – so it seems like it would be good for that. But we are also going to sell individual courses, so I may need two solutions or something a little more sophisticated. But I will try it and and appreciate your suggestion.

Are you available for any custom WP work? I want to make some theme tweeks and would like a WP expert looking over my shoulder from time to time. Let me know if you do that kind of thing, and if so, what you charge and how you prefer to work. I really like your thermes, your videos and the general vibe.

The guys over at werkpress are great and do awesome work. They might be a little more pricey than finding individual freelancers, though. — http://werkpress.com
