Hi Jason,
I would like to have a slideshow in the background with the header logo and the access header navigation over the slideshow.
I get the basic effect I like with a background image in the id “top” and so I assume this is the place in which to create/add a widget.
In the past I have made a header widget add on using the function you taught us, but is there a way to add this widget to id top instead of the header?
When an image fills the area id top, the look is nice: there is a background image and there is the Logo and the access navigation menu.
If there is another, better way to create a bit of a slide show in this area, please point me to this instead or in addition to the above question. I just want three or 4 photos to fill this area. I can now do one using background-image css, but I do not know how to rotate a few (3-4) of them using just css.
Thanks,
-SS
Hello,
If you checkout the link below you’ll see a map of the available action hooks you can output to:
http://dev.themeblvd.com/tutorial/primary-framework-action-hooks/
A trick is just to open up header.php of the theme and you can see exactly where all of these action hooks run, relative to the <div id="top">
.
It may be worth checking out the Jump Start 2.0 beta:

It actually has a feature built-in that lets you configure a slider for the background of the header. — From Appearance > Theme Base, make sure you’ve selected “Super User”. Then go to Appearance > Theme Options > Styles > Header.
