Add paypal button code in Layout Builder on Barely Corporate

    Hi,

I have been using Barely Corporate for a while for clients and it is great! I have a new site where I have used the layout builder for the first time. I have lots of product pages set up and now want to add a Paypal buy now button to each. (I have done this before on Barely Corporate using the standard page editor.) But I can’t get it to work using layout builder. I have pasted the code into the raw content are. It says you can use basic html here – is Paypal code too complicated? The code just gets scrambled and all I get on the page is text, not a button.

    See: http://tereolearningmedia.co.nz/nz-picture-books/

The first book, Fantails Quilt has the code added – only price text showing. ( I just tested the code on another Barely Corporate site using standard editor and worked fine.)

I am using the latest version of Barely corporate and WordPress. Only plug ins are All in One SEO and Contact Form 7 + theme plugins.

I hope you can help as the site is ready to have prices added!

    Thanks,
    Anne

    Hi Anne,

Yeah, it’s very possible that the Layout Builder textarea field can be sanitizing out HTML you’re trying to input. A workaround for this is to just create a blank page with your button HTML in the content. Then in the Layout Builder include the content from page element, and include the content from that page.

While maybe this process has an extra step, I think you should get the same result you were originally trying to achieve.

    Hi,

Yes – thanks that works perfectly!

Sorry for the very late reply – I had to work on another site for a while.

Really appreciate your response and support.

    Thanks,
    Anne
