Sorry for disturbing you. I have found a way how to fix this mobile rendering. I have enabled mod_deflate in the Apache configuration file and now the mobile version is loaded in 4-5 seconds which is not so bad. I used this google tool. It’s very helpful when you don’t know where to start…
But it says also that I need to:
When you open a page in the web browser it opens in a second. When you view it with mobile browser, it needs 10-15 seconds to open first time. That mobile view or scaling is not cached with cache plugins. When you create your web page, if you want pages to open quickly, you need caching program. For wordpress there are many of them. The most popular are:
This is mandatory today. Everybody uses cache. If you are using cache, the web page will open in a second. But the scaled down mobile version needs 10-15 seconds to open when you view it for the first time. That is something that can be investigated. It’s not a big deal for me and it’s not something that I can’t live without, but it would be nice if we find what’s stopping the mobile view from caching.
Here are speed tests:
If I find something, I will post here.
Thanks for a quick answer! The search is working. 🙂
No. I mean is it possible to have whole site in dark style but only one page in light style? For example an option: If someone for example clicks on “About page” give him dark style page. And if someone clicks on “Forums” page, give him light style. That way I don’t need to work with CSS, because bbpress is looking good in light style. But I have almost managed to correct bbpress in dark style so if it’s complicated, don’t bother.
Oh it’s working. Tnx. What about Light/Dark theme combination?
Still doesn’t work in Firefox. 🙁
I somehow managed to make some changes, but it’s far from perfect :-). One more question. If I use bbpress with “Body style Light” in theme options, everything is perfect. You don’t have to mess with CSS at all :-). Is there a way that I can use “Light style” for bbpress forums and Dark style for the rest of the site?
Thanks, this is very good tutorial. I see the best and the safest option is to use child theme. But I have many things added in main theme that I will loose when I activate the child theme. Is there some safe option that I can export theme options from main theme to child theme or I have to do everything manually and from beginning?
Thanks Jason. I will try it when I catch more time, and I will report how it went.
