    Surely questions 1 and 2 are theme related. Isn’t there a way to stop my sign in name from being broadcast to the internet? Also, it seems natural that I would be able to stop a redundant feed without Yoast (I’m using All In One SEO).

    That actually doesn’t work. The RAW tags just show up naked on the post.

    OK, I deleted that old version. The process isn’t very intuitive. Thanks so much. But the problem was that it should have updated automatically and didn’t. I checked to see if my Envato code was still in the update option and it is.

    OK, I’m confused. Why do I have two parent Alyeska themes? I’m afraid to activate the right one.

    OK, I realized I took out the child theme so I fixed that. Looks good but when I try to upgrade the main theme it still says “download forbidden”

    This shouldn’t even have been an issue because I put a code in so that it would automatically upgrade itself.

    I upgraded the alyeska theme and it messed my the site up (http://venturecoffeetalk.com)
    So I I just upgraged to WordPress 4.3.1
    I’m looking at the Alyska version now and it saws 3.1.6.
    It says there’s another upgrade available so I tried again to upgrade and it won’t let me do it the second time.

    Both Firefox and Chrome are fine now and I don’t know why. Funny that I installed Firefox to see if it would behave the same as Chrome and both options were messed up. I guess the situation fixed itself but thanks for your response.

    Hey thanks Mike,
    By looking at your site I can see little nuances of the theme that I wasn’t aware of. So many possibilities!

    Hello,
    I have changed the background to a 200 kb image. Is this image cached in the browser for each new menu item click? It would be a shame if it had to load again each time someone navigates to a a new page or post. Any advice about this issue would be very appreciated. The site can be seen from the link at the beginning of this post.

    I figured out how the best way to insert a player to bypass the WP default audio player. No need to follow up on this one. Thanks!

    Well, that fixed everything. With a little more tweaking, my platform is done and my marathon for the next couple years has gone into full gear. Thanks for your help and all the best!

    For the first paragraph, I meant to say “with absolute positioning, I can’t click on the media buttons.”

    I’ve hashed out the code for about 2 hours and found that that using absolute positioning is necessary before toggling to static positioning. However, with static positioning, I can’t click on the media buttons.

    .my-new-widget-area {
    position: absolute;
    top: 10px;
    right: 10px;
    }

    When toggling to static positioning, there’s absolutely no way to center the buttons. I’ve tried text-align / margin: 10px auto / float: center/ taking out “right: 10px”
    but nothing works. The buttons become elevated and stick to the left of the browser. However, the buttons can be clicked.

    .my-new-widget-area {
    position: static;
    top: 10px;
    right: 10px;
    }

    From a functionality standpoint, just using the second snippet alone works great, but the buttons need to start out on the right edge of the browser.

    It’s funny that hover doesn’t work over the buttons when the browser width is too small.
