We are having success with the SQL backup!
Suggestion, maybe you could consider for future upgrades/themes to have the Builder/Slider area work like the widgets area? Have an “inactive” area that the Builder things pop into like widgets do when things go kafluey? Just a thought …
I didn’t need to transfer a database, the previous site on the other host was static.
The development site was built on domainame1.com which when it’s time to take it live you can just change on the server to the real domain name after you do what you need to do in the WP general settings.
No manual edits were done, I never went into myphpadmin. The only changes that would have been made would have been when I switched the domain within the WP settings. The home page was there when the site first came up, it was after I used the Velvet Blues that it disappeared. I tried to reverse this using Velvet Blues but it didn’t work.
The css file says: Version: 3.1.4 but I don’t know if that’s what you mean by version. If not, where do I find what you need?
Uh, 10 minutes will not do the trick. I can put the columns and stuff back in but what was IN the columns, no way I can do this from memory. I don’t even have a screen shot to go from. I wasn’t expecting this to happen.
The only way to get access to the development site under the temporary URL would be to change everything back over to that site name and I don’t even know if that would work.
I just rec’d the most recent SQL backup so we’re going to try that.

Thank you for your reply. I will dig into the links you provided, however the edits I made to the css file affect every page/post on the site. In other words the area *above* where all the content goes in including anything you can put in the Layout Builder is what’s been changed.
What you’re referring to if I’m understanding correctly, would be everything on the page* below* the navigation. I’m talking about *above* the navigation is where the css edits I’m talking about affect. Currently there is a photo that’s got a height of 400px above the navigation and I’m using the full width option. If I were using the boxed version this may have worked a bit differently but not sure. Here is where the css edits I made affect the home page:

In short, what I need are two different tops, the original Alyeska top would work for everything but the home page and then I could use the conditionals, although never having used conditionals myself I can’t be 100% sure. I have someone that does conditionals but since this website is a freebie on my part, I can’t ask her to do this because I’m not paying someone when I’m not getting paid.
Anyway, at this point I don’t think what I need to do is do-able with this theme without the use of alternate headers pulled in. This would be my fault for choosing the wrong theme so please don’t take offense.

Thanks, I can get the icon to display now. However, the reason I was asking if there’s a way to get my icons added to the TB button in the editor under lists, boxes etc is that there will be others administering the site and it’s my job to make it as simple as possible for them to use. For example I want to use the adobe.png in some lists. If the adobe.png was able to be made available in the TB button selector they could then use that. You and I know how to use shortcodes but they don’t and having to do some images differently than others will only confuse the heck out of them.

DebThank you for the code, Jason. BTW I do use various web developer tools but I was not able to determine the info you posted without your help and I am using the child theme and making all edits there. Thanks again.
Also, just an FYI, the edits are not displaying in Chrome or Internet Explorer, only Firefox 🙁 and I even tried using !important; to the changes. Could you advised how to make these changes display in these other browsers?
