Awesome! Thanks for the stellar support!
Thanks for the fast response!
I don’t really need a side menu, except on mobile when the side menu would, in effect, be the header menu. So I’d really rather not have to create and manage two different menus (one for desktop and one for mobile) if I can help it.
So, I went into Menus > Manage Locations, and turned off the Primary Side Navigation menu. Now, when I look at the site on mobile there is only one menu (the Primary Navigation menu displayed as a side menu). Great! Except….now it is showing up as white text on a white background, so it’s basically invisible unless you click on it. My site is set up to have a white background and dark text. Before when there were two menus they were both dark text over white background, as it should be, so I’m not sure why the menu is now suddenly light instead of dark (and only on mobile). I’ll send you my dashboard login info since I’m guessing that will be the fastest way to resolve this.
Thanks again for all your help!
Sorry about that. The link is: http://www.cedricstudio.com
I can also send you my WP login if that would help. I just need a way to get that too you privately (i.e. over email?)
Thanks. I appreciate the very helpful suggestions!
Thanks! I appreciate the suggestion.
Thanks very much for the prompt and thorough reply!
1. Thanks for being open to my suggestion. Would love to see this fixed in a future update!
2. Your explanation makes sense. I know there are a lot of other portfolio themes that allow you to click to view a post and then arrow to the next one (in fact I assumed this was common in all portfolio themes), but I can see how that might require a trade-off in terms of the amount of filtering you can do. Would it be possible to add a feature that allows this functionality but with a warning telling people that if they enable this feature it will disable filtering? For me, having this feature would be much more important than the filtering. It’s almost a deal breaker for me in using the theme.
The breadcrumbs option is a helpful suggestion, although personally I find them to be unattractive and to add visual clutter. But I’m an artist so I’m more picky than most about that stuff.
Thanks very much. I really like the theme but I was surprised that it only accommodates long horizontal logos.
I’m still building my site but here’s what I’ve got so far: http://newwebsite2015.cedricstudio.com
I’ve made some accommodations/redesign to my logo already to try and stretch it out more, and I’ve also made it larger than you recommended in the theme instructions, but you can see how it still gets unreadable in the sticky header. I would love to see that fixed in a future update.
Still a good theme overall though.
