Vimeo in builder oembed

I would like to have a Vimeo video as an element in a two-column section using the builder on the homepage of the site I’m developing. When I try to add it using just the Vimeo URL, it doesn’t embed it properly, it just displays the URL. If I use the Vimeo iframe code it screws up the responsiveness of the site. Can you tell me if I’m doing anything wrong and how to properly get this video into the layout so it is responsive. Thanks.

Yeah, this isn’t going to work here automatically like it would in a page or post. I’ve honestly never used this myself, but I’m pretty sure WordPress has a default embed shortcode that you can use to accomplish the same thing.

I believe it works something like this:

[embed]http://vimeo.com/41733829[/embed]

[askwpgirl]

A good way to do this is to create columns with a floating widget area and then use the ThemeBlvd Video widget.
