Spacing issues with Alyeska

    Jason,

    How come the footer has so much space below each of the content areas? There is more at the bottom than the top of the entire section, which is sort of driving me crazy since I’m a bit particular with design.

    Sample image — see the area circled in red:

    Hello,

    For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the edits either in your child theme or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

    #bottom .footer_content .container { padding: ...; }

    Also, here’s a helpful tutorial on how to use Firebug – http://vimeo.com/20917974. The only thing I’d suggest not doing is actually making edits to the theme’s CSS files, as it shows at the end of that video. However, the video serves as a good introduction to Firebug and how it can be used to find what CSS is effecting certain areas of your site without ever digging around in any files.

    Thank you very much!

    Also, I purchased both Alyeska and Stealth and Alyeska was awesome to work with, but Stealth is giving me alot of headaches. For whatever reason that template seems to be out of date somewhat? Just wondering if there may be an opportunity for me to upgrade Stealth to Akita Responsive Theme if I add in the additional cost?

    Thank you

    Yeah, I’m not quite sure if I want to keep Stealth, but I am in the process of getting everything up-to-date and using the same framework. Currently these themes are the only themes on ThemeForest that use my latest framework. But any older ones like Stealth, Complexity, and FlipBlog, the only way for me to update them is to completely re-do them. So, I’m still trying to figure out what to do there.

    But in terms of updating, you’d just be essentially purchasing the different theme and then be re-doing your site.

    I don’t plan on using the Stealth template, but I know its probably to much to ask to trade that in that template to upgrade to Akita? I haven’t yet created a website using Stealth. Just started it today and got tired of using it.

    Or, maybe an upgrade to jump start with me paying the difference?

    I apologize, but there are no exchanges or refunds on these kinds of digital items. Any kind of purchases at ThemeForest are completely handled by Envato and realistically just out of my control. And I think $65 for the Jump Start framework for unlimited use is pretty fair. It can’t really get much cheaper than that. 😉
