Some pages not loading

Some of my pages are not loading correctly. It might be because the 1st line is blank when I look at the source code. It only affects the pages that I have set up as templates and call in info from another server. This is one of the pages – http://business.millelacs.com/events – any of pages that are from business.millelacs.com don’t work but all the others do that are http://millelacs.com. The only thing I did was update the theme last week and install one plugin which I have deactivated but doesn’t help. Any ideas?

    Hello,

I’m not totally sure what you’re trying to accomplish there, but your issue is because you’re injecting an entire HTML document before the body tag of the theme even starts.

So in other words if you have an typical HTML document setup like this:

You’re then stuffing an entire HTML document into the of your site.

Okay, I see what you are saying. All I have is a Page setup with the following in it using the default template & right sidebar layout:

    #THINGS_TO_DO#

    #CHAMBER_MASTER_CONTENT#

What this does is call in info from an outside database so my WP page is basically just the template for the Chambermaster content. It has always worked just fine. I haven’t made any changes other than updating the theme a couple days ago. I’m also checking with the company that I have this database with to but wanted to check with you as well. Not sure why it is stuffing it that way because when I preview the page I have (without the DB content) it is fine so it must be on their end. Unless you have suggestions as to why this would be happening. Thanks!!

It relates to the way you’re trying to incorporate this into your site. I think you’re doing it for Facebook? This would work if the content here didn’t contain all of the HTML tags, but the way it is being feed through as entire HTML document into a meta tag, the web browser doesn’t know how to handle it, and so it’s just spitting it all out.

Are you sure you’re not trying to output this content somewhere else? And not within a meta tag for Facebook?

Is this something you’re trying to do with this plugin? http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/add-link-to-facebook — I have no idea how that’s supposed to work, so you may want to post in their support forum for the plugin.

Yes, I did install a plugin called “Add Link to Facebook”. I have disabled and uninstalled that plugin thinking it was the problem but the problem remains. For some reason those particular pages still have that FB piece in them. Other than than I made no other changes. Could that plugin be stuck in the DB or something? I will try their support. Thanks.
