Slideshow & Portfolio Issues

Hi,

For some reason my homepage slide show stopped working. Everything on the backend looks good.

The same goes for my portfolio. It is not opening up at a light box feature on my homepage. It just opens to an external link and then one of items resends you back to the homepage.

I look forward to any advice!

Hello,

Without actually seeing your website, I would say you probably have a javascript error somewhere. If that is the case, most likely you’ve installed some sort of plugin recently that conflicts in some way with the theme or causes these javascript errors. So, running through your plugins would be a good place to start in troubleshooting.

Thanks! You were correct. I deleted some recently added plug-ins and everything went back to normal.

I had one other question. I have a few videos on my homepage slideshow that are clickable if the user wants to view them. The only problem is that if someone does click on play for the videos, the slideshow keep moving even though the video is playing. Is there a way for the slideshow to stop transitioning once the video is playing?

The only way to really get around this is to just turn off the auto rotation on your slider. To do this from your slider’s options, you can set the “Autoplay Duration” option to 0.

If I turn off the auto rotation will my slider still transition? I noticed on your Complexity 2 theme that the slider works perfectly. It transitions slides, then you can click and watch the Iron Man Video while the slider stops, then when the video is over it keeps on transitioning through the slides.

This is exactly what I would like my website to be able to do. How do I set this up?

This is actually not the case in the live demo. I think you are mistaken. The live demo has an autoplay duration of 6 seconds and there’s nothing to stop the slider if a video is played.

It looks like you may be confused possibly with what settings you’re changing with your slider. On your site, you still have the Autoplay duration set to 3 seconds.

From Complexity > Theme Options > Homepage > Slideshow, you want to change the “Autoplay Duration” option to 0.

Is there anyway to add a slideshow navigation bar onto this page? I also have a website (www.sdstudentresidences.com) which is your swagger theme and it is great because there is a slideshow navigation button.
