    The problem is a javascript error from editing something on the frontend of the site, nothing to do with what your’e doing in the admin panel. Have you been messing with any of the outputted javsacript for the slideshow or the theme’s custom.js?

    I haven’t done anything with the javascript files, but that doesn’t mean someone else before me hasn’t. Problem is, there is no way for me to find out. Is the file that is causing the problem replaceable? I have looked through a lot of the files and is doesn’t look like they have been modified since 2010. At least the ones I am looking at. See screenshots of files.

    It’s a little difficult to tell you what exactly you did because you’re using such an old version of the theme, but it looks like you removed this from custom.js

    // ---------------------------------------------------------
    // Slideshow Navigation
    // ---------------------------------------------------------

    function paginate(idx, slide){
        return '<li><a href="" title="">#</a></li>';
    }

    … which is where the javascript error on your site comes from, in that the “paginate” callback function is not defined.

    Although, Its seems now that a part of this slideshow code you gave me is causing something to show up underneath the slideshow on the site. See picture.

    Also, you said that I am running such an old version of the theme. What does it entail to upgrade? WIll we have to do over the site? I think some of these problems are due to it being older because no one knows anything about how the files could have been tampered.

    I honestly don’t have an answer to this; I don’t know how the version you’re using was originally setup.

    Also, you said that I am running such an old version of the theme. What does it entail to upgrade?

    You’d just go to ThemeForest.net > My Account > Downloads from the account you purchased the theme, download the theme again, and then update it on your server at /wp-content/themes/.

    WIll we have to do over the site?

    You’ll lose slideshows and theme options. In version 2, the theme was completely re-structured. You’re using 1.3 from 2010, which I why can’t do a whole lot to support it for you.

    Your version is before we had the little homepage builder interface. Checkout this video on how the more current one works: https://vimeo.com/21047920
