When not logged into my site: http://www.twinvalleycoffee.com, a text link appears top left above the logo with a viagra or some other link to a website. As soon as you log in the link goes away and will not come back until you clear your cache. I believe this is some kind of hack. How do i get rid or it? I can’t find it in the code anywhere.

    Hello,

This is in the identical place as someone else had I talked to recently:

    http://support.themeblvd.com/forums/topic/themeblvd_header_above/

From the location of the output (identical to yours), I would have guessed the malicious code wasn’t actually injected into the theme, but hooked in from somewhere else. However it appears like, for them, re-uploading the theme files did the trick, which would suggest the code was injected into theme files.

So, if you don’t want to hunt around for it, it sounds like that should solve the issue. Just download the theme again from ThemeForest and re-upload it with your FTP program.

Will re-uploading it return my site back to the base template and require me to rebuild the entire site? Or could I achieve the same thing by activating another theme and then re-activate the Commodore theme?

If you update the theme files (assuming you haven’t been making code customizations to to theme files), nothing will change on your site. None of the stuff you’ve configured on your site from your WP admin is stored in the theme files. This is all in your site’s database. You shouldn’t have to reconfigure anything.

Yeah, I know; the responses aren’t really all that relevant. I was just telling them to try uninstalling all plugins, switching themes, etc… and then the answer was just to re-upload the theme.

If you’re not comfortable using an FTP program, or you’re not familiar with how this works and how to update theme files on your server — You can also do it through your WP admin by temporarily activating another theme. Then uploading and activating the commodore.zip theme again. You won’t lose anything you’ve built by doing this, either.

Used the FTP method and all seems good. Thanks for your help!
