Sidebar Active Category Highlight

Hello,

For the start i must say i am very pleased with Jump Start theme,its really versatile and great to work with.

I would like to know how can i create this sidebar navigation with highlighting active category/page,example: http://www.demoblvd.com/themes/jumpstart/features/slider-manager/

Hello Joshua,

Thanks for the kind words; I’m glad to hear you’re liking the theme framework.

What you want to do is create a menu under Appearance > Menus. Then, you go to Appearance > Widgets and apply it to your sidebar with WordPress’s “Custom Menu” widget.

Also, here’s some additional information on what you can do from the Menu Builder that corresponds to Jump Start:
