Replace Slider with Static Image

I want to set up a homepage layout where it’s
    Primary Header Image
    Slogan
    Content (w/ Sidebar Rt)

However, I only get a ‘slider’ option for a big primary header image….and when I only create (1) slider, it gives me a spinning wheel in the middle of the primary header. (see attached screenshot)

Is there a way to place this image into the primary header area…without having to utilize the “slider” option?

    Much obliged for your time!

    Hello,

You could just be to insert a content element, select “raw” content and put the HTML for an image. And if you’re uncomfortable with that, you could setup an external page that just has an image and select to include that page as the content source for the content element of the Builder.

Hello, can you give an example for what the HTML would look like if you placed it in the “raw” content box?

    Thank you

You’d just use the standard image <img /> tag in HTML something like this:

    <img src="http://yoursite.com/uploads/whatever.jpg" />

What about a single video as a header for a blog post?

Can you explain what you mean a little more? Where specifically are you trying to put a video on your blog post?

I’m making a website for a composer, so I need to showcase video and audio samples of his work.
In short, I would like to do this:

and this (with video and audio files):

    Thank you.

I just figured out that you need to upload a static image, set it as the featured image, and then the option to link to video shows up. Is there a shortcode for embedding audio? Thanks again.

@popowski Have you seen our Featured Videos plugin? It’ll allow you to swap out featured image area with a video embedded directly in the post list or single post page. That’ll give you another option.

I installed the Featured Videos plugin, but I’m not seeing an option to embed video in the featured image area. Any idea what might have gone wrong?

Are you looking in the Post Options when editing a post after activating the plugin?
