Removal of Header and Menu Bar

I purchased Alyeska Responsive for a client of mine. The client has decided he basically wants a one page advertisement with the Header and Menu bar removed. I assume that this is going to take some code alteration to do so and being a “newbie” to WordPress, I could use some insight.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction.

Hello Matt,

For making edits like this, you’ll want to get a child theme installed and take advantage of the theme’s actions hooks from your Child theme’s functions.php.

Here’s some info what actions hook are in general:

And here’s a basic example of just removing any functions hooked to the header and main menu:

remove_all_actions( 'themeblvd_header_content' );
remove_all_actions( 'themeblvd_header_menu' );
