    When testing my Alyeska-based theme using http://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/, I get a response to “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content”.

    Do you have any suggested plugins to use that are compatible with Alyeska?

    These aspects don’t really have much to do with the theme specifically. Any popular plugin will do. Check out WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache; those are some great ones. I personally use W3 Total Cache for most sites.
