I have limited the number of post on my homepage to 5, but when you click the previous page buttons at the bottom it does not go to the previous pages it just reloads the homepage. How can I fix this? http://www.surfalabama.com is the site if you want to look and see. (it is the 1, 2, 3 page buttons at the bottom of the last post that do not work)

Weird things happen with pagination in WordPress when you try to do it from a static page as your frontpage.

    1. Go to Settings > Reading > Frontpage displays and select “your latest posts”.
    2. Then, go to Appearance > Theme Options > Content > Homepage and select your custom layout there.

Thanks for the reply, but I did what you said and I still have a problem. I have selected 4 posts per page and I have 12 post. if i click page 3 it takes me to the first ones which is right, but if i click page 2 it just shows page 1 (my most recent post) again.

I also tried changing it to show 6 posts so there are only 2 pages and it still shows page 1 and 2 as the same thing?

You sure? When I look at your site everything seems to be working.

On the first page posts start with “Saturday 1/5 Afternoon Update 1:20pm” — http://surfalabama.com/

On the second page the posts start with “Wednesday 1/2 Morning Report 7:55am” — http://surfalabama.com/page/2/

And on the third page the posts start with “Monday 12/31 Morning Report 8:15am” — http://surfalabama.com/page/3/

    This isn’t right?
