Post list slider – change excerpt length?

I’d like to have a shorter excerpt length on the Post list slider – and its fine if it also applies to the post list on the Blog page. Is there some custom CSS for this?

If you have not manually created an excerpt for a post, and you’re not filtering the excerpt output (with plugin or custom code), WordPress is going to take the first 55 words of the post for the excerpt.

    1) You can manually write out your excerpts when editing a post. To do this, write out your excerpt in the “Excerpt” meta box.

By default WordPress hides this — Click the “Screen Options” tab at the top right corner of the screen when editing a post and select for this meta box to show.

    2) Or if you’re looking to automate the process, you can find plugins out there that will filter the default amount of words in an excerpt.

Thanks so much – I didn’t know about the hidden screen options! Sorted, Thanks,
