Php Error (Theme BLVD Slider plugin)

    Hey Jason,

I inherited a site recently, and it was built on a 1.? version of swagger. I upgraded to the latest version, fixed a few css errors, and was good to go. However – recently I get an error in the backend:

Notice: add_object_page is deprecated since version 4.5! Use add_menu_page() instead. in /home/fiveespr/public_html/mikeschulerconsulting.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3658

I think (based on a search in your forums), it is coming from the slider plugin, which is no longer being updated. So I though I would just create a new template, re-do the slides using the new layout builder (there is only one slider – used on the home-page), and then disable the old plugin. Problem is, I only have a few options for building a new template.

Here are my options on a separate install: (and yes layout builder is updated on both to the newest version)

Here are my options on the swagger site:

Any thoughts on how to go about fixing this?

    Hi,

The notice isn’t a true PHP error, it’s just a warning triggered by WordPress’s debug mode. You could always just turn off WP_DEBUG, maybe? This isn’t generally something you want enabled on a live site, anyway. This is meant for development.

I updated the plugin so the notice goes away. It’ll take a few minutes to show up, but look out for v1.2.5.
