    Hi Mary,

    Yes basically you’ve got a group of posts of a custom post type setup with our Portfolios plugin. Each post has a featured image. And also when editing an individual post, you can set where it’s featured image links.

    The group of portfolio item posts is then displayed in a custom layout using the Post Showcase element in the layout builder.

    OK, I think that is too much for a simple photo gallery. Thank you for clarifying though!

    If you insert a standard WordPress gallery, the theme will add the lightbox automatically when you link to files in the gallery settings.
