Pause Video in Slider

When a video is inserted into a slide…Is there a way to stop a video when the slider cycles? Or pause the slider until video finishes (without hover)?

No, I apologize, but this is not possible because we have no way for what’s going on in the external iframes of the videos to correspond to what’s happening on our site.

There are some video sources like Vimeo that provide API’s where this is technically possible through your javascript, but there’s nothing built-in the theme to handle this. It was also be very difficult and resource consuming to implement something like this because the theme allows you to use WordPress’s oembed, which essentially will allow you to embed a video from any of their 15 or so sources. So there would be javascript things happening all IF a video is from Vimeo. It would also be confusing because you’d have this general theme feature that could only be used when a user inputs a Vimeo video.
