    Hello Jason,
Thanks for your such a great theme. I have bought this theme and I have 2 questions, I would appreciate if you can help me with this.

This is the link of the website I am building:
    http://fab.alcatrazdesign.com/

First, the navigation bar. When people click on any link the effect is minimal. I do like it a lot but my client is asking me if its possible to change the background to a complete different color. Currently, the navigation bar is blue and we want it to have another color (example silver).

Second, if you check the lowest part of the link i gave you you”ll see that the copyright footer area is grey. The footer changes when the background changes, it’s there a way to change the css and select a color for this footer?

Thanks for your time and help. This is a great theme.

    Hello,

For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the overriding edits either in your child theme or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

    For example —

First, the navigation bar. When people click on any link the effect is minimal. I do like it a lot but my client is asking me if its possible to change the background to a complete different color. Currently, the navigation bar is blue and we want it to have another color (example silver).

Using Chrome’s inspector here’s how you’d identify what selector to use from your own CSS in order to override.

And it looks like you figured this one out already, but here’s how you could identify this one with Chrome’s inspector:

Also, here’s a helpful tutorial on how to use Firebug – http://vimeo.com/20917974. The only thing I’d suggest not doing is actually making edits to the theme’s CSS files, as it shows at the end of that video. However, the video serves as a good introduction to Firebug and how it can be used to find what CSS is effecting certain areas of your site without ever digging around in any files.
