    Hello,

What version do you currently have? In your WordPress admin, go to Appearance > Themes and click on the thumbnail of your active Alyeska theme, and it will tell you the version number.

You can always download the latest version of the theme by logging into ThemeForest with the account you purchased it with and going to your account’s Downloads page.

All right, so currently we’re on v3.1.8. With v2.0 (posted Jan 2012), the theme was completely re-written. So, from the perspective of how the theme works from the admin side of things, you’re more-or-less just installing a brand new theme.

As I said previously, you can grab the latest version at any time from your ThemeForest downloads page. And then, you’ll essentially just be deleting the old theme, and installing the new one. Then you’ll want to go through the documentation included from your ThemeForest download package to understand how your new theme works.

Great! Downloaded it now. Sorry if this is a dumb Q, but if I delete the current theme, will I delete all my content? Or will it just show up again in whatever theme I update to?

I guess the thing to understand is the distinction between what content is stored from the theme and what isn’t. If you’re talking about things created through standard WordPress features like pages, posts, media, etc, this will still all remain. However, in v1, the way sliders, theme options, and your homepage settings (components controlled by the theme) worked, are now completely different and so this stuff does not carry over to when you’re using Alyeska v2+.

I’m sorry, last Q. How do I delete the theme?!! I can’t find that option anywhere. This is crazy!
