Multisite CSS changes

  • Creator

We are using Swagger on a multisite install to support 3 different language versions of the site. Unfortunately, the site was originally setup with CSS changes in the custom CSS utility and not by using a child theme.

Our changes in the custom CSS utility are affecting the first/primary site but are not rolling out to the other two versions of the site.

If we stick with the current setup with no Child theme invoked is there a quick solution to rolling the CSS changes out across all 3 sites? Or must we take all the changes and apply them in a child theme?

    Thank you for your help.

Essentially, these would be your two options:

    1) You’d copy and paste your CSS changes into the “Custom CSS” option on each of Theme Options page for each site.

    2) Or, you’d copy these CSS changes into the /assets/css/custom.css of the sample child theme. And activate this across all sites.

Personally, I would say option #2 would make the most sense. It sounds like maybe you just have the first-time Child theme jitters, but this might be a good experience to get past that. 😉
