    Hi, Jason
I don’t know if this is important, but I performed a plugin compatibility check using the built-in function for this in NextGen Gallery. It is just a “click here to test” function. Here’s the result – also in case its useful for you
    Kjetil

    Check plugin/theme conflict
    No conflict could be detected

    Test image function
Could create image with 4048 x 3040 pixel

    Check theme compatibility

It’s nothing to worry about. The theme calls wp_head, but just not in the way that many other themes do. If you didn’t have wp_head running in your theme, almost no plugins you install would we working, and we’d have a lot of unhappy people posting. 😉
